Modern Art Ancient Wages: The MoMA Strike of 2000

This strike lasted for four months. MoMA had planned to lay off many workers when they started their reconstruction. One of the results of their move was that MoMA took over PS1, which had functioned as an alternative art space. MoMA now charges $20 entrance fee both at Manhattan's museum and in Long Island City.
