Nancy and I went to Chimayo.

It was a few days before Good Friday. On the interstate the state police were setting up porta-potties. Every Easter, thousands of people walk to Chimayo. See

The pilgrimage brings people seeking lost relatives and others seeking better health.

The grounds of the church are lined with crosses, left there by generations of pilgrims.

The soil there is supposed to be miraculous.
